A compound named ATP is the principal source of energy in humans and animals. ATP is the end product of a chemical reaction in which hydrogen combines with a compound known as NAD converting it to NADH. An increase in NADH increases the production of ATP and energy.

Normally, the biochemical conversion of food is the only source of ATP and energy. However, tests performed at several universities confirmed the increase in NADH in living cells in the presence of this new mineral substance, which has been introduced as a dietary supplement named Microhydrin®.

It was explained that the action of Microhydrin results from its unique action releasing negatively charged hydrogen atoms that carry an extra electron. In the past, some chemists have disputed the existence of negatively charged hydrogen; however, results were presented of laboratory tests which, for the first time, established their presence by scientific measurement.

He also presented university studies which showed an increase in NADH, and an increase in mitochondrial membrane potential in liver cells that further supports the action of Microhydrin. NADH increase was measured by the fluorescence of mitochondria as observed by confocal microscopy. In addition, he showed the results of double blind studies in athletes which indicated that the new substance reduced the accumulation of lactic acid during strenuous exercise suggesting an improvement in cellular oxidation. An additional double blind study showed an increase in cellular hydration and a reduction in oxidative stress. Such results tend to further support the function of Microhydrin to increase energy as a supplement to a healthy diet.
